Collection: Cold brew coffee

Cold brew is my absolute favorite coffee. If I didn't live on the arctic tundra in northern Sweden, I'm pretty sure I'd only drink cold brew. But cold brewing while trekking across frozen tundra isn't exactly an optimal experience. That being said, for warmer months I always prefer properly brewed cold brew coffee. My recipe is simple: I grind some beans, put in a cold brewer, let sit in the fridge or at room temperature for 12-18 hours and serve. The rich flavors offered by cold brew are truly an experience unlike any other type of coffee drinking.

There are several benefits to drinking cold brew coffee, including:

  • The taste: Cold brew coffee has a smoother and less acidic taste than regular brewed coffee, which makes it more appealing to some people.
  • Lower acidity: Because the coffee is brewed with cold water instead of hot water, it has a lower acidity, making it kinder to the stomach for some people.
  • High caffeine content: Cold brew coffee has a higher caffeine content than regular brewed coffee because the brewing process extracts more caffeine from the coffee beans.
  • Long shelf life: Cold brew coffee can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, making it convenient to prepare a larger quantity at once.
  • Refreshing: Cold brew coffee is a perfect cooling drink on hot summer days and can be a good alternative to hot coffee during the summer months.
